Coast String Fiddlers (CSF)

Coast String Fiddlers

The Coast String Fiddlers is a youth performing group that plays an international mix of traditional fiddle music, including Scottish, Appalachian, Canadian, and Finnish as well as modern compositions – some of which defy categorization!

The groups are under the musical direction of Holly Beckmyer.

The CSF 3G group (the 3rd generation of CSF fiddlers) rehearses on Friday evenings at Roberts Creek Elementary School. This group is suited for musicians who have been studying fiddle or cello for at least 3 years.  Musicians should be comfortable learning by ear and playing tunes up to speed.

The CSF beginner group, the FiddleCats, rehearse on Friday evenings at Roberts Creek Elementary School. This group is suited to musicians who have played for at least 6 months. Students are encouraged to learn tunes by ear, and music and finger sheets are supplemented.
